Temporary Housing Group Meeting July 22

The Temporary Housing Working Group is a meeting place for those interested in discussing the concerns, needs, and solutions of Sandy affected individuals  needing temporary housing while their homes are being built or worked on.

There will be a meeting at 10am on Tuesday. July 22 at the Bayshore Resource Center (426 Route 36 Highlands NJ 07732) for anyone interested in joining the discussion of this topic.

Ben Haygood, Director of the Bayshore Resource Center, had the following to say about the group and subject of Temporary Housing: “Temporary Housing for individuals and homeowners having their homes repaired or elevated is an unaddressed need.  We are seeing a significant number of households reach out to find temporary lodging during this time they are required to be out of the house.  Several people and agencies have been working on different options and there are a few possibilities that have potential.  This collaborative Working Group will attempt to bring a real solution to fruition – drawing together the resources of government, faith-based, and local organizations.”
