Thompson Middle School All Virtual Through Nov. 18 Due To COVID

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Thompson Middle School has pivoted to all-virtual instruction due to high numbers of COVID positives there. Meanwhile there are fifteen new positive cases throughout the Middletown school district.

Thompson Middle School has had seven COVID positives since November 1. As a result, Thompson will be all virtual through Nov. 18.

"This large number of recent cases has resulted in the need to temporarily close the Thompson Middle School building and pivot to virtual instruction," said the district. "Beginning Monday, November 9 through Wednesday, November 18, Thompson Middle School will be closed to students and staff."

• Thompson Middetown School: 7 positives in the last 14 days.
• Two at High School South. This brings the total cases to 5 in the last 14 days.
• One at High School North. This brings the total cases to 4 in the last 14 days.
• One at Nut Swamp Elementary
• One at Middletown Village
• One at River Plaza Elementary School
