Two Middletown Rite Aids Changing To Walgreens
The Rite Aid pharmacies on Leonardsville Road in Belford and in Middletown Plaza on Rt. 35 will be changing to Walgreens.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Ninety Rite Aid stores across New Jersey will change to Walgreens soon, and two of those locations are in the Middletown area.
The Rite Aid pharmacies on Leonardsville Road in Belford and in Middletown Plaza on Rt. 35 will be changing to Walgreens. An exact timeline as to when was not provided; the complete transition of all 90 stores to Walgreens is expected to take up to three years, according to Rite Aid.
The news comes as Walgreens' parent company, Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc., purchased a total of 1,932 Rite Aid stores across the country. The purchase price was $4.375 billion. Walgreens initially planned to close up of those 600 Rite Aids but that number soon grew to 750, executives said earlier this year.
