Unnamed Specialty Grocer Coming To Former Middletown Walgreens

A specialty grocery store plans to move into the space on Rt. 35 in Middletown Plaza that used to be occupied by Walgreens pharmacy.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — An unnamed specialty grocer plans to move into the former Walgreens space in Middletown, Mayor Tony Perry confirmed Thursday morning.

Perry said he knows the name of the grocer, but cannot reveal it publicly yet as the lease has not been finalized.

But a specialty grocery store plans to move into the space on Rt. 35 in Middletown Plaza that used to be occupied by Walgreens pharmacy.

Walgreen's moved out in the past year and that space has been vacant for about the past six months.

This is in Middletown Plaza at Rt. 35 and Harmony Road.
