
James van Riemsdyk, a Middletown native who made a name for himself on the local hockey scene as a member of the CBA hockey team, will get a chance to play for his second legendary National Hockey League franchise.
In a story on ESPN.com van Riemsdyk was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs five years after the Philadelphia Flyers drafted him second overall. He was traded for defenseman Luke Schenn following a year where he scored 11 goals and had 13 assists for the Philadelphia team.
