The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” saying there is the potential for heavy rain and flooding beginning Tuesday morning, and lasting until the afternoon.
The flooding could be especially prevalent along the Interstate 95 corridor and mostly impact southern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania, according to the National Weather Service.

The rain coming will be an extension of heavier precipitation impacting the South, according to The Weather Channel.
The southern branch of the jet stream will remain active through the week. Southwesterly flow in the upper levels of the atmosphere will combine with moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, according to The Weather Channel.

A pair of upper-level disturbances will move through the South and a cold front will eventually stall out over the region, according to The Weather Channel.
