NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS, a peer-led volunteer local job search support and networking group, meets on Monday, December 17th @ 7:00 pm.

English Conversation Language group meets to practice speaking skills in a relaxed atmosphere. Must have some basic knowledge of English. For adults 18+. A Drop-In program presented by Literacy Volunteers Monmouth County. Wednesday, December 19th @ 7:00 pm.

Read to a Dog: Trained therapy dogs will be on hand for young readers to practice reading skills to furry friends; highly motivational and fun, building confidence and self-esteem. There will be “reading buddies” available for younger siblings as well as for the K-5 readers to practice prior to their “dog time”. For independent readers only grades K-5. Monday, December 17th @ 4:30 pm.

A Dickens Tale: A Christmas Carol come to life. Join old Scrooge, bumbling Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, old Jacob Marley and more in discovering the true meaning of the season. Presented by Bright Star Theatre. For grades K-8. Tuesday, December 18th @ 7:00 pm.
Simply Storytime: For all ages. Wednesday, December 19th @ 10:00 am.
Reading Buddies: Each child is paired with a teen Reading Buddy to practice reading skills by reading out loud. Studies show reading for about 20 minutes each day will improve your child's skills, especially if they read to someone! Register for a specific time slot. For grades K-5. Wednesday, December 19th , 3:30-4:30 pm, 30-minute time slots; Thursday, December 20th, 6:30-7:30 pm, 30 minute time slots.
