What's Happening @ Middletown Township Public Library 4/3/2020

Update from the Middletown Township Public Library

Restricted public access to Middletown Township municipal facilities has been extended through Sunday, April 19th.The Middletown Township Public Library is included in this closure, but we will automatically renew all checked out materials until May 1st.

Our bookdrops are currently closed to the public; please keep all checked out materials at home until further notice. We also are not accepting donations at this time.

The Middletown Township website has posted on its COVID-19 Updates link a 10-minute video entitled Protecting Your Family by Dr. David Price. It is also available at www.youtu.be/QwxeJMRTz8U. We urge everyone to watch it.

On weekdays starting April 6th, children can tune into NJTV for on-air classes taught by some of New Jersey’s public school teachers. The on-air classes will be taught daily for grades 3 - 6, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Subjects will include English Language Arts, math, science, social studies, art, music and physical education. Third grade instruction will begin at 9:00 am, fourth grade at 10:00 am, fifth grade at 11:00 am, and sixth grade at noon.

Feel the need to escape? We have made a Harry Potter Digital Escape Room for you to enjoy. It is based on the Triwizard Tournament in The Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling. You can participate in this escape room as an individual or as a group. Compete against your friends. Try it multiple times. Just click on the Escape Room graphic on the Library’s website and have fun.

While we are closed, there are still many resources you can access from home. You may borrow electronic materials online at mtpl.org. Our Virtual Reference Services are available by phone Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm at 732-671-3700 or by clicking on the CONTACT US or LIVE CHAT links on the website.
