MOVIE MONDAYS begins the Silent Film Festival with the 1925 version of Ben-Hur. September 12th @ 2:30 pm.

Team Trivia for ages 50+ returns with a new event on Wednesday, September 14th @ 7:00 pm.

Adult and Career Resource Seminar: Your Rights in the Workplace presented by Mitchell Schley, labor lawyer. Topics will include unfair treatment on the job, wrongful discharge, discrimination and harassment, employment contracts and performance compensation, wages, salary, hours, overtime and compensation, disability leave, pregnancy leave, health insurance, severance pay, unemployment benefits and non-competition agreements. Thursday, September 15th @ 7:00 pm.

We provide free online access to many databases and other sites, including EBSCO, Reference USA, as well as online newspapers, magazines, and genealogical resources. Write Club: Working on a novel or writing poetry? Inspire yourself to write and hone your skills. At each meeting there will be a writing prompt, reading of others work, and discussion. Monday, September 12th @ 3:30 pm.

Math Tutoring: Free tutoring sessions at the library in the Children’s Quiet Reading Area. Bring textbook and/or homework. Tutoring sessions are for 30 minutes and are scheduled at 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm, and 4:30 pm. Upon registering, you will receive an email with your tutoring session time. Tutors are volunteer high school honors students. Tutoring for Calculus and above is not available. For grades K-12. Tuesday, September 13th @ 3:30 pm.

Lapsit Storytime for Prewalkers: This program provides infants that are not yet walking with a first group experience in enjoying books, nursery rhymes, songs and fingerplays. For ages up to 32 months. Monday, September 12th @ 10:00 am.

ScienceStarts – Clouds: Investigate and invent with your child and siblings. Families will participate in hands-on science activities, as well as in a circle time featuring books related to the activities. For ages 4-6. Monday, September 12th @ 4:00 pm.

Roald Dahl Day Gloriumptious Birthday Party: It’s Roald Dahl's 100th Birthday and we will be celebrating the life, the world and the stories of this beloved author with games, crafts, music, surprises and a very special parting gift for all! For all ages. Tuesday, September 13th @ 4:00 pm.

Read to a Dog and Reading Buddies for Younger Siblings: Read To A Dog is a great way to improve the literacy skills of children providing a non-judgmental listener in our furry friends. Children will read to a dog for five minutes. For independent readers only, grades K-5. There will be teen reading buddies for younger siblings as well as for the K-5 set to practice with prior totheir “dog time”. Tuesday, September 13th @ 7:00 pm.
