Dress for Mess: Negative Space Painting: “Negative Space” is what artist call the “white space” in a work of art. We will be giving out paper with pre-cut holes--the holes will act as “negative space” in the children’s art work. After we are finished painting, we will share stories and rhymes about snow. For ages 2-6. Monday, December 14th @ 10:00 am.

Kids Playgroup: A playgroup that encourages children to explore hands-on activities and develop social skills. Grown-ups can chat and connect with other parents/caregivers while supervising their children’s play in the quiet reading area. No registration required. For all ages. Tuesday, December 15th @ 10:30 am.

Pete the Cat Saves Christmas: ‘Tis the season for a very special Pete the Cat Musical Storytime! In this rockin’ spin on the traditional tale The Night Before Christmas, Pete the Cat proves that giving your all in the spirit of Christmas is the totally groovy thing to do! For all ages. Tuesday, December 15th @ 4:00 pm.

Holiday Songs performed by the New School Students: Students, 5-10- years-old, from the New School of Holmdel, will be singing holiday songs for children and their families in our quiet reading area. For all ages. No registration required. Wednesday, December 16th @ 10:00 am.

Simply Storytime: We will gather in the Children’s Program Room for some storytime fun in this family program for all ages. A Drop-In program. Wednesday, December 16th @ 10:00 am and @ 6:30 pm.

Mother Goose is an early language, literacy, and social learning experience for babies and toddlers with their parents/caregivers. Children and grown-ups will enjoy social time with toys and books followed by fun with songs, rhymes, fingerplays and book sharing time. For ages up to 32 months. Friday, December 18th @ 10:00 am.
