AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE: Saturday, January 28th, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

The need is constant and your contribution is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply.

Anyone 17+ is eligible to donate. Have a light meal and plenty to drink. Bring your donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of identification. Bring list of medications you are taking. Write Club: Working on a novel? Writing poetry? Inspire yourself to write and hone your skills. Each meeting we have a writing prompt, reading of work, and discussion. Monday, January 23rd @ 3:30 pm.

Peer Tutoring: High school honor students tutor in Spanish, French, Science, History and English/Language Arts. For grades 6-9, Monday, January 23rd @ 7:00 pm.

Math Tutoring: Free tutoring sessions at the library in the Children’s Quiet Reading Area. Bring textbook and/or homework. Tutoring sessions are for 30 minutes and are scheduled at 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm, and 4:30 pm. Upon registering, you will receive an email with your tutoring session time. Tutors are volunteer high school honors students. Tutoring for Calculus and above is not available. Tuesday, January 24th.

Pizza and Pages Book Club meets on Wednesday, January 25th @ 7:30 pm.

Chess: If you haven’t played before, we will teach you. Planning, confidence, patience and discipline are all benefits of playing chess. We just think it’s fun. No registration required. Friday, January 27th @ 3:30 pm.

Lapsit Storytime for Pre-Walkers: Introduce your baby to the library during this gentle lapsit program for pre-walkers accompanied by a grown-up. Rhymes, songs, puppets, and picture books encourage language development. Grown-ups socialize with other adults and babies get used to be around other babies. A Drop-In program. For ages up to 32 months. Monday, January 23rd @ 10:00 am.

Up-Cycled Art: Bring your imagination…we’ll supply the rest! For ages 6+, Monday, January 23rd @ 4:00 pm.

Kids Playgroup: A playgroup that encourages children to explore hands-on activities and develop social skills. Grown-ups can chat and connect with other parents/caregivers while supervising their children’s play. A Drop-In program for all ages. Tuesday, January 24th @ 10:30 am.

Dress for Mess – Sticker Soup: a process-centered, open-ended art program for preschoolers with their parents, caregivers and siblings. For ages 2-6. Wednesday, January 25th @ 10:00 am.

Rubber Duckie Book Club Birthday Party: It's been one year since we started our Rubber Duckie Book Club and our journey toward 1,000 books! Join us as we celebrate with games, a craft, birthday cake and of course, some stories! Thursday, January 26th @ 4:00 pm.

4-H SET Group: workshops on robotics, programming, health, community, leadership, public speaking and organizational components. Members of the 4-H learn life skills in addition to engineering, design & development to program robots, while developing critical thinking faculties. A Drop-In program. For grades K-5. Reading Buddies: A child learning how to read or struggling with reading is paired with a Reading Buddy! The child chooses a book and reads aloud to their Buddy. Reading Buddies who will help with correct pronunciation, increasing vocabulary, and understanding. what they have read. Upon registration you will be contacted to determine an appointment time at 2:00 , 2:30, 3:00, or 3:30 pm. For ages 3-12. Saturday, January 28th.
