AARP Income Tax Assistance, Monday, March 13th through Wednesday, March 15th. Register in person at the Reference Desk on Saturday at 9:00 am for slots available for the following week. First come, first served. Slots go quickly.

Computers/Internet for Beginners: Learn the basics of a computer and how to use the internet in this two-session program. Part 2 is on March 20th. Monday, March 13th @ 3:00 pm.
QuickBooks meets Monday, March 13th @ 7:00 pm.
Drop-In Tech Talks: Do you have questions about technology that you’ve always wanted to ask, but never could? Meet with a Reference Librarian and we will answer all your questions. If questions are related to a device that you own, please bring the device. Wednesday, March 15th @ 3:00 pm.
iPhone/iPad Apps: An in-depth review of the many apps available for download to an iPad and iPhone. This is a class on Apple products only. Bring your device if you have one. Thursday, March 16th @ 7:00 pm.

Debate Club: Learn how to debate using the National Forensics League debate topics. Debate for either the Pro or Con Argument. Improve your public speaking, writing, and researching skills. Monday, March 13th @ 3:30 pm.
Peer Tutoring: High school honor students tutor in Spanish, French, Science, History and English/Language Arts. For grades 6-9, Monday, March 13th @ 7:00 pm.
Physics Study Group: Join the study group, work together on physics problems, and get assistance from the group leader, Ryan (of High Technology High School). Monday, March 13th @ 7:00 pm.
Math Tutoring: Free tutoring sessions at the library in the Children’s Quiet Reading Area. Bring textbook and/or homework. Tutoring sessions are for 30 minutes and are scheduled at 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm, and 4:30 pm. Upon registering, you will receive an email with your tutoring session time. Tutors are volunteer high school honors students. Tutoring for Calculus and above is not available. Tuesday, March 14th.
TableTop Gaming: Play table top games (board games, card games, RPG games, etc.) Wednesday, March 15th @ 7:00 pm.
Handmade with Love: Knitting and Crocheting: Learn to knit or crochet and improve your skills. We will be making, and will donate, baby blankets to Blankie Depot. The blankets will go to families in need, and will be given to local hospitals. Please bring your own crochet hook or knitting needle, we will provide the yarn. Thursday, March 16th @ 3:30 pm.
Chess: If you haven’t played before, we will teach you. Planning, confidence, patience and discipline are all benefits of playing chess. We just think it’s fun. No registration required. Friday, March 17th @ 3:30 pm.

Kids Playgroup: A playgroup that encourages children to explore hands-on activities and develop social skills. Grown-ups can chat and connect with other parents/caregivers while supervising their children’s play. A Drop-In program for all ages. Tuesday, March 14th @ 10:30 am.

Read to a Dog and Reading Buddies: A great way to improve the literacy skills of children by providing a non-judgmental listener in our furry friends. For independent readers only, grades K-5. There will be teen reading buddies for younger siblings as well as for the K-5 set to practice with prior to their “dog time.” Tuesday, March 14th @ 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 15th @ 4:00 pm.
Engineering Block Party: Use LEGOs for an engineering challenge, just for fun. For ages 7+. Wednesday, March 15th @ 3:00 pm.

Lapsit Storytime for Pre-walkers: Introduce your baby to the library during this gentle lapsit program for pre-walkers accompanied by a grown-up. Rhymes, songs, puppets, and picture books encourage language development. Grown-ups get to socialize with other adults & babies get used to be around other babies. Thursday, March 16th @ 10:00 am.
Act It Out – Alligators All Around: Help tell the story! Each child will have a role to play in acting out the story. Sometimes we play an active game after the story. For pre-K – Grade 1. Thursday, March 16th @ 4:00 pm.
Pokemon Trading Night: Bring your cards to trade with fellow Pokemon fans. Discuss Pokemon books and movies. Play the game For ages 6+. Thursday, March 16th @ 7:00 pm.
Gymboree for Crawlers: The class is designed to provide opportunities for adults and babies to play together. Grown-ups should expect to stay and participate through the entire class. For ages up to 16 months with parent. Friday, March 17th @ 10:00 am.
Gymboree for Toddlers: This class is designed to help walkers further develop their gross motor skills. Children must be able to walk in order to participate. For ages 16 months to 3 years with parent. Friday, March 17th @ 11:00 am.

Reading Buddies: A child learning how to read or struggling with reading is paired with a Reading Buddy! The child chooses a book and reads aloud to their Buddy. Reading Buddies who will help with correct pronunciation, increasing vocabulary, and understanding. what they have read. Upon registration you will be contacted to determine an appointment time at 2:00 , 2:30, 3:00, or 3:30 pm. For ages 3-9. Saturday, March 18th.
