We will have writing exercises each week, give support and advice, and peer review (if you like). Take the annual NaNoWriMo Challenge with us! Monday, November 14th @ 3:30 pm.

Math Tutoring: Free tutoring sessions at the library in the Children’s Quiet Reading Area. Bring textbook and/or homework. Tutoring sessions are for 30 minutes and are scheduled at 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm, and 4:30 pm. Upon registering, you will receive an email with your tutoring session time. Tutors are volunteer high school honors students. Tutoring for Calculus and above is not available. For grades K-12. Tuesday, November 15th @ 3:30 pm.

Robotics Programming Workshop: Wednesday, November 16th @ 4:15 pm.

Thankful Tree Craft: Bring twigs and sticks from your home to make your tree. Thursday, November 17th @ 3:30 pm.

College Planning Workshop: The College Funding Associates will conduct this workshop for parents and teens who are planning to apply or who have already applied for college. Thursday, November 17th @ 7:00 pm.

Chess: If you haven’t played before, we will teach you. Planning, confidence, patience and discipline are all benefits of playing chess. We just think it’s fun. No registration required. Friday, November 18th @ 3:30 pm.

SciencStarts: Families will participate in hands-on science activities and a storytime featuring books related to the activities. For ages 4-7. Monday, November 14th @ 4:00 pm.

Magical Musical Me: An interactive music and movement experience where we sing, dance, wiggle, giggle and shake, as well as play with instruments and fun props, listen to a musical story, and play a real guitar. Tuesday, November 15th @ 10:00 am.

Kids Playgroup: A playgroup that encourages children to explore hands-on activities and develop social skills. Grown-ups can chat and connect with other parents/caregivers while supervising their children’s play. A Drop-In program for all ages. Tuesday, November 15th @ 10:30 am.

Lapsit Storytime for Prewalkers: Introduce your baby to the library during this gentle lapsit program for pre-walkers accompanied by a grown-up. Rhymes, songs, puppets, and picture books encourage language development. Grown-ups get to socialize with other adults and babies get used to be around other babies. For ages up to 32 months. Wednesday, November 16th @ 10:00 am.

Read to a Dog and Reading Buddies: a great way to improve the literacy skills of children by enabling them to read to a non-judgmental furry friend. There will be teen reading buddies for younger siblings as well as for the K-5 set to practice with prior to their “dog time”. For independent readers only, grades K-5. Wednesday, November 16th @ 4:00 pm.

4-H SET Group: A drop-in workshop with robotics, programming, health, community, leadership, public speaking and organizational components. Pokemon Trading Night: Bring your cards to trade with fellow Pokemon fans. Discuss Pokemon books and movies. Play the game. For grades K-8. Thursday, November 17th @ 7:00 pm.

Gymboree: For walkers up to 32 months, Friday, November 18th @ 10:00 am. For ages 3-5, Friday, November 18th @ 11:00 am.

Reading Buddies: A child learning how to read or struggling with reading is paired with a Reading Buddy! The child chooses a book and reads aloud to their Buddy. Reading Buddies who will help with correct pronunciation, increasing vocabulary, and understanding. what they have read. Upon registration you will be contacted to determine an appointment time at 2:00 , 2:30, 3:00, or 3:30 pm. For ages 3-12. Saturday, November 19th.
