Drop in for a presentation of the film An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving based on a short story by Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women. Wednesday, November 23rd @ 2:00 pm.

Finding Dory: lovable, amnesiac blue tang searches for her long-lost parents. With the help of young clown fish Nemo and his dad Marlin, Dory heads for California and the Monterrey Marine Life Institute, evading predators along the way as she hopes to find a place she can call home. National Novel Writing Month Workshop: Write an entire novel this month or finish one you’ve been working on but never completed. We will have writing exercises each week, give support and advice, and peer review (if you like). Take the annual NaNoWriMo Challenge with us! Monday, November 21st @ 3:30 pm.

Math Tutoring: Free tutoring sessions at the library in the Children’s Quiet Reading Area. Bring textbook and/or homework. Tutoring sessions are for 30 minutes and are scheduled at 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm, and 4:30 pm. Upon registering, you will receive an email with your tutoring session time. Tutors are volunteer high school honors students. Tutoring for Calculus and above is not available. For grades K-12. Tuesday, November 22nd @ 3:30 pm.

Maker Monday: Explore, predict, tinker and make in a program that encourages young people to develop confidence, creativity and interest in science, technology, engineering, math, arts while learning through making. For ages 6+. Monday, November 21st @ 3:45 pm.

Kids Playgroup: A playgroup that encourages children to explore hands-on activities and develop social skills. Grown-ups can chat and connect with other parents/caregivers while supervising their children’s play. A Drop-In program for all ages. Tuesday, November 22nd @ 10:30 am.

Crafternoon – Creative Corner Bookmarks: For grades K-5. Friday, November 25th @ 2:30 pm.

Reading Buddies: A child learning how to read or struggling with reading is paired with a Reading Buddy! The child chooses a book and reads aloud to their Buddy. Reading Buddies who will help with correct pronunciation, increasing vocabulary, and understanding what they have read. Upon registration you will be contacted to determine an appointment time at 2:00, 2:30, 3:00, or 3:30 pm. For ages 3-12. Saturday, November 26th.
