Free programs at the Middletown Township Public Library

On Wednesday, November 26th, the library will be closing at 5:00 pm. The library is closed on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 27th.
Be a Friend of the Library – The Library is forming a new nonprofit fundraising group to support library programs and services. We are looking for members who are willing to volunteer their time to attend monthly meetings and occasional fundraising events. If interested, please register at the Borrower Services Desk.
Foreign Film Month at Monday Movies – Garibaldi’s Lovers is being shown on Monday, November 24th at 2:30 pm.

Hoopla is a new free service that brings you thousands of movies, television, music and audio titles to your web browser, phone or tablet, just by using your library card. For additional information, go to mtpl.org.
Museum Pass Program provides free passes to select museums with your library card. Visit the kiosk in the library HUB to select your museum.
Conversational Spanish, led by Maria Jose Martinez Reid meets on Monday, November 24th at 7:00 pm. Register online at mtpl.org.
Black Friday Alternative free event: Celebrate family bonding with visiting relatives. Bring the entire family to see a G Rated film on our big screen. Enjoy snacks and take-away activities related to the film (while supplies last). Allergy Alert! A Drop-In Program . Friday, November 28th at 1:00 pm.

American Sign Language led by teens Sarah and Phoebe in the Group Study Room. Sunday, November 23rd @ 1:00 pm.
Gaming Night. Bring your MAGIC cards, your Vanguard, your Yu-gi-oh (or whatever other card games you enjoy), yourself, and your friends to play with other teens who enjoy gaming. Feel free to bring any other games you enjoy, be it cards, board games, or computer games (and if so, bring your own device). We will have some board games available for playing too. Essentially, if you like any kind of gaming...come to Teen Gaming Night!!!! Monday, November 24th @ 7:00 pm.
Manga Club. Discuss manga and anime and watch a few anime episodes. Saturday, November 28th @ 3:30 pm.

National Novel Writing Month. Your goal: Write an entire novel in one month! Come to the library to work on your novel. We will have writing prompts and a creative atmosphere to get your ideas flowing! Tuesday, November 25th @ 4:00 pm.

Drop-In Activities: Matching pegs to pegboards, “Mouse’s Thanksgiving Feast”. For all ages. Sunday November 23rd Saturday, November 29th – all day.
Math Tutoring. Come to the Children’s Room to get extra help with math homework from Middletown High School North High Honors students. No registration required; first come-first served. Sunday, November 23rd @ 3:00 pm.
Baby (and Toddler) Playtime. Join other parents/caregivers with infants and toddlers. Having a parent/caregiver present provides reassurance to little ones while they develop new skills through parallel play with books, toys, and new friends. At the same time, grown-ups get to connect with other adults who share their ability to simultaneously socialize and supervise walkers and crawlers. For up to 32 months. Monday, November 24th @ 10:00 am.
Special Time Travel Magical Musical Me. Since November is time travel month at the library, our musical selections will include folk music from different eras. For ages 2-6. Tuesday, November 25th @ 10:00 am.
