Child Car Seat Safety Check: The Middletown Police Department will be performing child car seat safety checks in the Library’s rear parking lot. All invited to take advantage of this free and very valuable service. No registration required. Monday, September 26th, 9:30 am – 11:30 am.

Toddler Time: Toddlers learn by playing, moving, touching, making noise, looking at books, and being loved. This is what happens during toddler time! Each toddler should bring a favorite grown-up to share in the fun and learning. A drop-in program for walkers up to 30 months. Monday, September 26th @ 10:00 am.

MathStarts – Terrific Triangles: Games, stories, songs, rhymes, and crafts that introduce basic math concepts. For ages 2-3. Tuesday, September 27th @ 10:00 am.

Kids Playgroup: An our all-ages playgroup that encourages children to explore hands-on activities and develop social skills. Grown-ups can chat and connect with other parents/caregivers while supervising their children’s play. A Drop-In program. Tuesday, September 27th @10:30 am.

Outrageous Reptiles: presented by Jenkinson’s Aquarium. Learn the characteristics of all reptiles and the differences in their lifestyles by comparing the different reptile groups: snakes, turtles, lizards, and crocodilians. For grades K-5. Wednesday, September 28th @ 3:00 pm.

Lapsit Storytime for Prewalkers: Introduce your baby to the library during this gentle lapsit program for pre-walkers accompanied by a grown-up. Rhymes, songs, puppets, and picture books encourage language development. Grown-ups get to socialize with other adults and babies get used to be around other babies. For ages up to 32 months. Friday, September 30th @ 10:00 am.

Reading Buddies pairs a high school volunteer with a child to read aloud and learn correct pronunciation, vocabulary and reading comprehension. Upon registration you will be contacted to schedule your appointment time at 2:00 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:00 pm, or 3:30pm. Saturday, September October 1st.
