MIDDLETOWN, NJ — This past Monday, July 25, was the deadline for candidates to file to run in school board elections across New Jersey.

The Middletown Board of Education election will be held the same day as the midterms, Tuesday, Nov. 8. Here is who is running:

  • Lauren Anderson, "Elevating Education" (she ran unsuccessfully in 2021 as a write-in candidate)
  • Leonore E. Lacqua-Caminiti, current Board member, running for re-election
  • John Little, current Board member, running for re-election
  • Kristie Tapolow, "Fairness Respectful Compassionate"
  • Gary Tulp
  • Joseph Fitzgerald
