Who's Running For Middletown BOE, Township Committee This Fall

The Middletown Board of Education election and Township Committee election will be held the same day as the midterms, Tuesday, Nov. 8.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The Middletown Board of Education election and Township Committee election will be held the same day as the midterms, Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Here is who is running for Middletown Township Committee and school board in Fall 2022:

Middletown Township Committee. Voters will be asked to choose two:

  • Republican candidates Kevin Settembrino and Rick Hibell, currently on the Township Committee
  • Democrat candidates Rocky Rios and James Grenafege dropped out in August, it's now Paige Gregorio

The Middletown Township Committee has been led by all Republicans for the past 10 years now; Democrat Rios ran last year for Township Committee without success. He got 9,053 votes to Republican Tony Perry's 18,892, according to November 2021 election results.

  • Lauren Anderson, "Elevating Education" (she ran unsuccessfully in 2021 as a write-in candidate) She is again running alone again this year.
  • Leonora Lacqua-Caminiti, current Board member, running for re-election (Middletown Families First)
  • Gary Tulp (Middletown Families First)
  • Joseph Fitzgerald (Middletown Families First)
  • John Little, current Board member, current Board member, running for re-election
  • Kristie Tapolow, "Fairness Respectful Compassionate"
