Wind & Sea Festival Still On This Weekend In Port Monmouth
Wind & Sea Festival is still a go as of this time, held Saturday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Bayshore Waterfront Park in Port Monmouth.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — On Wednesday morning, the Monmouth County Park System confirmed to Patch their annual Wind & Sea Festival is still a go, held Saturday, September 15 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Bayshore Waterfront Park in Port Monmouth.
From sandcasting to kayaking, the Monmouth County Park System’s upcoming Wind & Sea Festival is brimming with coastal activities for the whole family to enjoy. Visitors are invited to try kayaking, seining, fishing, crabbing, sand casting, shelling and more. Be sure to check out the Children’s Art Show featuring pieces made from recycled materials by Park System summer campers.
Children can get into the spirit of the festival by having their face painted. Visitors of all ages will enjoy seeing professional sand artist John Gowdy at work on the beach. Most activities are free but some may have a fee. Admission and parking are free. Parking is available at the Belford Ferry Terminal located at 10 Harbor Way, Belford. A shuttle bus will transport visitors to and from the ferry terminal to Bayshore Waterfront Park.

There's also the annual Rose Show at Deep Cut Gardens this Saturday: On Saturday, September 15, the Monmouth County Park System will host the Jersey Shore Rose Society Rose Show at Deep Cut Gardens, 152 Red Hill Road, Middletown. From 12:30-3:30 p.m., visitors are invited to see the show’s entries and enjoy garden tours. Expert rosarians will be on hand to answer any questions. Admission and parking are free.
