Woman Leaves Toddler in Car, Breaks Into Another Vehicle, Police Said

The incident happened last Wednesday, May 11 in Middletown.

Middletown, NJ - Two Keansburg women are charged with breaking into a car parked in Middletown, armed with a box cutter and a knife, and one of the women left her three-year-old child in her car while doing so, prosecutors said.

Last Wednesday, May 11, Deanna Slover, 23, of Howard Avenue in Keansburg, broke into a Chevy Blazer, police said. She left her three-year-old daughter in her car, unattended and not in a childseat, while doing so, police said.

Maritza Medina, 21, of Shadyside Avenue in Keansburg, was with her and also arrested. Both women had a knife and a box cutter between them, police said.
