Woman Tries to Hide Heroin After Union Beach Arrest, Police Charge
After she was arrested in Union Beach last week, this New Brunswick woman tried to hide the heroin in a roll of toilet paper, police said.

KEANSBURG, NJ - A New Brunswick woman was found with heroin in Union Beach last Wednesday, police said. Gladys Tejeda, 22, had 20 wax folds of heroin on her labeled "No Tolerance" when she was arrested, police said. When Tejeda was taken to the Union Beach police headquarters, she allegedly tried to hide an additional "brick" of suspected heroin in a new, unopened role of toilet paper inside the jail cell.
The brick of heroin was five individual bundles wrapped tightly in plastic.
Also on Wednesday, in an unrelated incident, a man was stopped in Keansburg after police said he was trying to sell heroin near the Grandview apartments, a public housing complex.

Joseph Ferraro, 21, of Keansburg, was arrested at the apartments after police said they found him there with heroin. He also allegedly had an imitation firearm with him, a Ekol special replica of a 9mm gun.
