Bayonne resident Ed Grimes and a few other advocates of medicinal marijuana attended the Middletown Township Committee meeting on Monday, June 3 to ask the Township Committee to consider supporting the use of medicinal marijuana and its distribution within Middletown.

The advocates were under the impression that the Middletown officials were against the use of medicinal marijuana. It was explained that the Township Committee has not taken a stand on the subject.

To bolster their position, Mr. Grimes and another advocate that was dressed in a bong costume performed a song that listed the towns in New Jersey that were against the use of medicinal marijuana and allowing dispensaries within their towns.

Those sitting around the meeting table did not appear to be that entertained, except for out Township Attorney who could not resist recording the duo's performance.
