• Softball Players of the Week for May 4-10 (nj.com subscription) — Midland Park softball fans have plenty to cheer about as freshman pitcher Lexi Reyes tossed a complete-game extra-innings shutout to send the Panthers to their first Bergen County quarterfinal since 2013. She then held powerhouse Ramsey scoreless for five innings in a tight 3-0 quarterfinal loss, earning recognition among New Jersey’s softball Players of the Week.
