$10,000 Fraud Foiled In Millburn

East Hanover woman was in possession of multiple fake IDs and credit cards when arrested.

MILLBURN, NJ - A 32-year-old East Hanover woman was arrested and charged after attempting to make a $10,000 purchase using fake documents, according to the Millburn Police Department.

Amanda Kingston was arrested after police were summoned to the Sidney Thomas store in The Mall at Short Hills on Dec. 13, authorities said. According to police, Millburn Police Officer O'Neill responded to the the call on a credit card fraud report and Sidney Thomas personnel said Kingston attempted to make a $10,000 purchase using counterfeit documents in a credit application.

Kingston was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of five counterfeit identifications and seven counterfeit credit cards, police said.

Kingston was issued a summons and released.
