2 Car Thieves Take Off After Tussling With Women In Millburn: Police
A woman with a baby told Millburn police that after a man in a ski mask entered her car, she tried to pull him out.
MILLBURN, NJ — Police responded to an attempted carjacking in Millburn last Friday night in which a woman tried to pull the suspect out of the car.
According to police, Officer Crawn responded to Main Street in Millburn at 9:07 p.m. on July 15. A woman told Crawn that a man entered her blue BMW X5 while it was parked on Main Street. The woman said that at the time, she was near the trunk with her husband and baby.
She heard the vehicle start, she said.

She went to the driver’s door. She attempted to pull the suspect — a young man in a ski mask wearing all black — out of the vehicle, police said.
The suspect threw her to the ground and ran to a waiting Volvo SUV, which then sped off, police said.

The incident remains under investigation by the Milburn Police Detective Bureau.
Earlier that day, police said, Millburn Police Officer Salemi responded at 4:23 p.m. to a Minisink Road residence on a report of burglary to a vehicle.
The resident reported that she observed an unknown man enter her BMW X7.
She then yelled at him, she said.
The man ran down the driveway and jumped into a waiting black Mercedes, police said.
