The publication named 71-year-old Leon Cooperman as the 6th richest person in New Jersey, ahead of notables such as Jon Stewart, Bruce Springsteen and Mary Higgins Clark.

According to the report, he gained his estimated $3.7 billion net worth through “hedge funds.”

To reach their conclusion, NJBiz used sources such as news reports, Securities and Exchange Commission filings and reported sales prices of companies the person had investments in.
