Betsy Zimmerman Honored for Promoting Children's Health

Betsy Zimmerman of Short Hills will receive a Women of Vision Community Service Award from the Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills for her work to promote the health and well-being of children.

Together with her husband Ed, Zimmerman established Hoop-A-Paluza, a foundation that has raised nearly $2 million to provide support to local charities that promote the health and well-being of children in New Jersey and New York. She has served on the board of the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum, including a term as president during the final stages of their capital campaign. She has also been a member of the Junior Board of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the Millburn Cooperative Nursing School and has been an active volunteer in the schools.

The award will be presented at the Junior League's seventh annual Women of Vision luncheon, May 1 at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston.
