Back To School In Millburn: New Dates On 2022-2023 School Calendar
What's new? School starts before Labor Day in Millburn, with days off for several religious holidays and NJEA Convention.

MILLBURN, NJ — Back-to-school planning has begun in New Jersey. With COVID still a factor, boards of education have often had to adjust school schedules several times throughout the year — meaning parents must always check back to see if the calendar is updated, before making plans.
The current Millburn school calendars can be found here. The 2022-23 calendar was last revised on June 23, 2022, the site says.

As of this week, the Millburn schools 2022-2023 calendar says that the first day of school for students is also the first day of September — Thursday, Sept. 1. This year, that falls before Labor Day.
Students then have a three-day weekend for Labor Day, and return Tuesday.

This year, the students have days off in September and October on Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, and Diwali.
Here are some other notable dates on the school calendar for 2022-23:
- NJEA Convention/Veteran's Day: Nov. 10-11
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25 (half day Nov. 23)
- Winter Break: Dec. 24-Jan. 2, 2023 (half day Dec. 23)
- Mid-Winter Break: Feb. 18-26, 2023
- Spring Break: April 1-9
- Last Day: June 21
Juneteenth did not appear to be added for 2023, but was added for the previous year late in the year.
