Families in Chatham and surrounding communities are invited to "STEAM Careers That Create Change," a hands-on program designed to introduce young people to a variety of exciting professions in a fun and engaging way. This free event will take place at the Library of the Chathams (214 Main Street, Chatham) on Saturday, October 3 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm and is perfect for kids in grades 3-8, with plenty of options for older and younger attendees too.
Children, families, educators, and community members will meet Career Guides who will help "spark career curiosity" as kids delve into healthcare careers with Atlantic Health; explore architecture with AIA NJ EPiC and aviation with MMU - Morristown Airport; embrace engineering with Langan and NJIT ASCE; investigate public safety with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office; learn how products get from one place to another with Association for Supply Chain Management; discover various facets (and faucets!) of water with AWWA NJ and Culligan; survey the great outdoors with Morris County Mosquito Control and Morris County Shade Tree; and check out Morris County 4H’s many offerings.
