Car Burglars Caught On Slope Drive: Millburn Police

A short foot chase led to the arrest of a juvenile, police said.

MILLBURN, NJ - An observant Slope Drive resident was able to stop a car burglary on July 27, according to the Millburn Police Department.

According to authorities, a resident of Slope Drive observed two people entering his vehicle around 4 a.m. Officer Royce, the first responding officer, observed the pair running from the caller’s driveway.

Royce gave chase on foot and apprehended one of them. The person caught was a juvenile and as a result two stolen bicycles were recovered, police said. Residents are being urged to lock their vehicles, not leave their keys or key fobs inside, and not leave valuables inside.
