Chamber to Honor Businesses, Members at Annual Meeting
The deadline to register is today.

The Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce will honor local businesses and chamber members during its upcoming annual meeting and awards ceremony.
The event will be held on June 2 at 6-9 p.m. at Johnny's on the Green Restaurant in Short Hills. The chamber will present a Lifetime Achievement Award to long-time chamber Board member John Jennings. Outgoing board members David Stern and Diana Hoffman will receive Chamber Service awards.
Design and Renovation Awards will be presented to several township businesses that have completed renovations. They include the Garage, Oksenhorn Jewelers, Peapack Gladstone Bank, Pet Smart and Trader Joe's.

The organization's slate of officers and board of directors for 2010-2011 will be introduced and sworn into office.
Chamber officers for 2010 - 2011 are: President Shayne Miller, Paper Mill Playhouse; First Vice President Louis LaSalle, Saint Barnabas Medical Center; vice presidnets Patti Brown, Investors Savings Bank, and Roy Twiste, Travel Leaders; co-secretaries Claudia Karp, Weichert Realtors, and Deborah Lerner, Lerner Duane Communication. Donald O'Dea, Investors Savings Bank, will hold the office of treasurer; Ralph Tarnofsky, Professional Audio Consultants, is immediate past president and Peter Webster, Hilton Short Hills, will serve as member-at-large.
Serving with the officers as members of the board of directors will be: Karen Eastman Bigos and Daniel Cannizzo representing Towne Realty Group, John A. Buchholz of The Buchholz Architectural Group, Michael Cohn of Michael Cohn & Associates, Inc. and Richard Futter of Futter's Shoes.
Also serving on the board will be Michael Goldfarb, Millburn Physical Therapy; Steven Hockstein, AHM Architects; Rob Kurzner, Rockn Joe of Millburn; Ellen Lubin-Sherman, LAUNCH; Michael McAvinue, The Mall at Short Hills; Lloyd Perkel, M. Blaustein Furrier; David Stone, Nancy and David Fine Jewels; Jodi Topitz, Topitz Design Studios; Geoffrey Twombly, Ocean First Bank, loan division; and Ken Wenger, PNC Bank. John Jennings, Esq. and Sally Kaufman of Cox Stationers & Printers will be emeritus members.

In addition the board will welcome 29 new businesses who have joined the Chamber in 2010.
Networking will start at 6 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner and complimentary wine during the cocktail hour courtesy of Johnny's on the Green. The cost of the event is $70.00 per person. A table of 10 is $650.00.
