Community Church Rummage Sale for Charity

Shop for great deals and a great cause at Community Congregational Church's Spring Rummage Sale, Saturday, May 6th

Community Congregational Church in Short Hills will once again be holding its semiannual Rummage Sale for Charity to benefit those in need in our local communities. The Spring Rummage Sale for Charity will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 9am-2pm. All proceeds of the sale support Community Church’s volunteer programs, including the Oasis program that provides fresh produce, groceries, and diapers to families in Irvington every month, the Mobile Meals program, which feeds 200 homeless people in Newark every month, as well as scholarship grants and programs with Harmony Education and Life Partners in Irvington. To find out more about the church’s volunteer programs and opportunities to get involved, visit www.communitychurch.org.

“The Rummage Sale for Charity at Community Church is an amazing way to help others, no matter how you’re involved,” says Community Church’s Senior Minister, Rev. Dr. Johann Bosman. “Those who donate their items to the sale get the benefit of knowing their items will be put to good use. Those who shop at the sale get great items at even greater prices, and all the money raised at the sale is used to fund programs that serve the community. We encourage everyone to come out and support the event, and to bring a friend or two!”

The Rummage Sale for Charity includes a large furniture section, featuring quality pieces in excellent condition for unbelievable prices. The sale also features a boutique section for higher-end women’s and children’s clothing, housewares, electronics, toys, and sporting equipment. Donations of gently used items are accepted 24 hours a day at the drop box located behind the church. TVs, computers, baby car seats, books, and large exercise equipment cannot be accepted.
