Constructing Teddy's Garage

Workers are busy converting a garage downtown into what will be a restaurant this fall.

Slated to open in September, Teddy's Garage at 257 Essex St. will be run by Teddy Stampoulos, Martini Bistro & Bar proprietor. The restaurant will serve hamburgers, hot dogs, milk shakes and similar fare. The intent is to serve the needs of the town's middle and high school students who walk through downtown Millburn. The plan for the project was approved last September.

Included in work recently has been the construction of new utility connections to the property, which has closed a lane of traffic on Essex Street.
