Creative Cars: Millburn Teens Win Decorating Contest

25 groups of Millburn High School seniors decorated cars to celebrate their last year of high school.

MILLBURN, NJ — Each year, seniors at Millburn High School kick off their last year of high school with a car decorating contest. But as an organizer explained, last year, it was postponed for several days by Storm Ida.

"This year, everyone was relieved that the seniors first last day of school (and the one year anniversary of Ida) was precipitation free," wrote Lauri Palomaki. "Our event this year was chaired by Lea Cruz. Cars were judged by overall appearance, originality, theme, and technique detail/execution."

Twenty-five groups of seniors entered a car into the competition, she noted.
