MILLBURN, NJ - Before school let out for the summer Dr. Christine Burton sent a memo to the Millburn School District community highlighting the more than $150,000 donated to the district by the Education Foundation of Millburn Short Hills.

"Their generous donation of nearly $151,000 in mini-grants that will fund special programs and technology initiatives in all of our schools for the 2019-2020 School Year." Burton said. "This is the Foundation’s 26th year of giving back to Millburn Schools."

According to Burton, the Ed Foundation Board and Grant Committee work tirelessly to support and implement this popular mini-grant program, to fund as many requests as possible, and to provide equity among the schools. These grants help sustain and grow innovative, unique, teacher-directed programs that are not funded by the annual school budget and provide extraordinary opportunities for students.

"We also thank all members of the community who support the Ed Foundation through membership and participation in fundraisers like Millburn Schools Rock, Rocktoberfest, and the FilmFest," she noted.

Thanks to these mini-grant donations, all eight Millburn Schools and every Millburn student will benefit from the state of the art equipment and innovative teaching and learning.
