Democrats Sweep In Millburn Twp. Committee Race, Vote Totals Show

Update: The Board of Education is decided but the Millburn Township Committee race remains too close to call.

MILLBURN, NJ — The polls are closed in Millburn, and results for all 16 districts are in for the Millburn Township Committee and Board of Education races.

Right now, the Democrats are leading, but with mail-ins and absentee ballots it remains to close to call until the results are certified by the County Clerk or a candidate concedes.

Democrat Dianne Thall Eglow (1,919 or 27.37 percent of the total vote)
Democrat Richard Wasserman (1,936 or 27.61 percent of the total vote)

Republican Agnes Sym (1,880 or 26.81 percent of the total vote)
Republican Sharon Strickland (1,262 or 18 percent of the total vote)

As for the Millburn Township Board Of Education, there is one open seat and lifelong Short Hills resident, Eagle Scout, rising senior and Class President James Serruto is running unopposed.

Due to the uncontested nature of the race, Patch is projecting Serruto as the winner.

Similarly running unopposed are incumbents Sonali Ganti and Corrine Haase, and newcomer Jonathan Greene for three-year terms. Patch is also projecting Ganti, Haase and Greene as winners.
