Elementary Teacher Assignments Available Friday
Students and parents can long on to Edline to see who their teachers are starting Friday.
Back to school excitement is likely to escalate this weekend, as Millburn elementary school students will find out on Friday who will be standing at the front of their classroom come September.
For the first time, the information will be provided online, via the district's Edline communication portal.
Students who are new to the district, including kindergartners, and students affected by re-districting will receive teacher information via the more traditional paper mailings. Dries explains that this was done in an effort to reduce confusion, because students and parents are given a new Edline access code when they switch schools or start at a new school.

District Public Information Office Nancy Dries says she has been swamped with emails this week from parents who cannot remember their Edline login information.
The paperwork and forms that traditionally accompanied teacher information - the forms that parents usually begin to fill out as their children rush to call friends and see who will be in their class - will be distributed on the first day of school

Eventually, Dries adds, the district hopes to have an interactive web version of the form, which will further cut back on paper usage. The forms are currently available in PDF format.
The middle school class information will be sent in traditional mailings. High school students will receive their teacher assignments on September 7th, the first day of school.
To access your class information:
- You must log in to your Edline account.
- Under Shortcuts (upper left), click on your child's name
- Look under classes in the left column, where you will see the name of this year's teacher/class.
- Click on the class name to bring you to the teacher's class page.
The class page may not yet be updated by the teacher, but it will be updated by the beginning of the school year. You may also see last year's specials/related arts classes. Those will also be updated by the beginning of the school year.
If you have any questions or difficulty logging on to Edline, email Nancy Dries (nancy.dries@millburn.org) with your child's name, school and issue.
