THE PREMISE (from THE ITEM):

"Araña," which is Spanish for "spider," takes place in a young girl's dream. The main character, Fernie Arabel, played by Rachel Ben-Menachem, falls asleep reading a favorite novel. The play is her dream interpretation of her favorite childhood book, with her family, friends and neighbors taking the place of the book's setting and characters.

The setting is urban - stoops and front yards are a main part of its visuals. Characters in Fernie's dream include homeless young adult Charlie Araña, played by Julia Silverstein, and orphan Wilson Baecon, played by Jeremy Bergman, who is passed from home to home and possesses a hidden talent.
