CARES Foundation to Honor Founders Kelly and Adam Leight at the Everyone CARES Gala on Thursday, March 18, 2010

CARES Foundation announced today that it will recognize the accomplishments of its founders Adam and Kelly Leight, along with their children, Alyssa and Joshua at the Everyone CARES Gala in New York City on March 18th. The event is a celebration of the organization's 10th anniversary.

In 2000, Kelly and Adam Leight founded the Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia Research, Education and Support (CARES) Foundation, Inc., after they learned that one of their children had the non-classical form of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). Together, they brought together scientific and medical experts, advocates, and families in the CAH community that focused on research and education. Since its infancy, the family has witnessed an organization that started out of the basement of their home; evolve into a nationally recognized organization dedicated to serving families and individuals affected by this rare disorder.
