Dr. Margaret Brisco will be reading from her collection of short stories, "Women in Transition" and "Metamorphoses".
Born in Trieste, Italy, Margaret Brisco graduated from Facolta di Medicina e Chirurgia in Padova, Italy. She practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in northern New Jersey for 35 years and was a pioneer at a time when few women became physicians and even fewer undertook specialties involving surgery. Since her retirement from medicine in 1996, she has devoted herself to writing, and is the founding member of The Write Group of Montclair.
