Nicholas Rizzo, local life-long Millburn resident and MHS alumni, awards 5 scholarships to neighboring local high school graduating seniors. Created in 2006 – Nick feels strongly about the importance of art education at the high school level. All five recipients will continue their education in the visual arts field in the fall. They are: Zak Blake from Chatham High School; Corey DeBiasse from Madison High School; Chelsea Castro from Millburn High School; Sonya Han from New Providence High School; and Rita Sipe from Summit High School.
There will be a reception and exhibition of their artwork on Thursday evening, May 24th from 4:00 to 6:30 pm at Rizzo Fine Arts, 32 Watchung Ave. in Chatham. The community is invited to view the artwork of these talented graduating seniors and show their support. The exhibition will continue through June 16th. Refreshments will be provided compliments of Pascarella Brothers Deli, 34 Watchung Ave., Chatham.
