The Music Department of Millburn High School proudly presents the annual Pops Concert on Wednesday, March 23 at 7:30 P.M. in the high school café. The MHS Music Boosters will serve light refreshments during the concert. This concert is free and open to the public and all are invited to attend this wonderful evening of popular music and jazz standards!
The concert will feature Pops Strings conducted by Mrs. Karen Conrad; Chorale conducted by Mr. Rodrigo Vega; Stage Band conducted by Ms. Mindy Scheierman; and Lab Jazz Band conducted by Mr. Matthew Spatz. Musical selections will include Ella Fitzgerald's Blues in the Night, an arrangement of Viva La Vida by Coldplay, Gershwin'sPrelude No. 2, Duke Ellington’s Limbo Jazz, and swing dance favorite Struttin' with Kate, by Bill Elliott.
Professionally recorded compact discs of the winter concerts will be available for purchase and preorders will be accepted for the upcoming Night of Jazz XII (April 28) and spring concerts. Also, Music Booster memberships are still being accepted and all families are encouraged to join.
