The Masterwork Chorus presents Blessed and Beloved: Reflections of Vivaldi

Andrew Megill conducts the 100-voice Masterwork Chorus in Antonio Vivaldi’s Magnificat and Beatus Vir, Gerald Finzi’s Magnificat, and Chris DeBlasio’s Best Beloved, a program of timeless texts set by each composer in the unique musical language of his time.  DeBlasio, born in West Long Branch, New Jersey, was a composer, pianist, and long-time choir member at Trinity Church Wall Street.  His rarely performed Best Beloved, a series of four motets based on Jacobean poems, is achingly beautiful and not to be missed.
