The Sanctuary Concerts: Chris Hillman

What do The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Bros., Manassas, McGuinn, Clark and Hillman and The Desert Rose Band have in common?

Chris Hillman is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, four-time Grammy nominee, National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame member, has a star on the County Music Hall of Fame Walkway Of The Stars, an Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award...and a stack of gold and platinum albums from his five decades as a pioneer of country/rock music.  Expect to hear the many hit songs from his career:  "Mister Tambourine Man," "Eight Miles High," "So You Want To Be A Rock and Roll Star," "Turn, Turn, Turn," "Sin City," "It Doesn't Matter," and so many more, along with the stories of his remarkable life in music.

Special guests Barnaby Bright are a charming duo from Brooklyn who combine old-timey instruments (including banjo and harmonium) and gorgeous harmonies with very modern songwriting, to create what they call "lush chamber indie-folk."
