United Way of Greater Union County and The Union Community Council will host a Zumba Fitness Marathon on October 25, 2009 at The Union Boys and Girls Club, 1050 Jeanette Ave., Union, NJ. Popular Zumba Instructor Eddie Fajardo with special guest Assemblywoman Annette Quijano will be attendance at the three different sessions being offered at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Proceeds from this event will benefit United Way of Greater Union County’s Healthy Kids Fund and the United Way Community Fund.
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music and dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting fitness program. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO" allowing Zumba participants to stick to the Zumba Fitness program and achieve long-term health benefits. Zumba is a feel-happy workout that is great for both the body and the mind.
