Former Music Teacher In Millburn And Rahway Schools Dies At 81

She "shared her love of music and inspired the many students that she taught," says an obituary for a former teacher in Millburn and Rahway.

MILLBURN, NJ — A former music teacher in the Millburn public schools has passed away at 81.

Margaret Holden Trzeciak died on Dec. 2, according to her obituary. She had taught in the Millburn and Rahway school districts.

"Her choral ensembles and musical productions were the recipients of many awards," the obit notes. "She was an excellent music teacher who shared her love of music and inspired the many students that she taught."

News stories indicate that she taught in Millburn in the 1990s and at least through the year 2000, identifying her as a chorus director.

She graduated from Heidelberg University in Ohio in 1962 with a music degree, her obit says, then got her masters in music from The College of New Jersey.

She continued singing with choral ensembles after she retired from teaching.

She is survived by husband Alfred and daughters Evelyn and David, as well as five grandchildren.
