Home Burglary, Attempted Car Burglary In Millburn; Police Make Arrests

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police recently made arrests in connection with two separate incidents: an attempted car burglary and a home burglary.

The Millburn Police Department released the following details about the arrests:

July 3 – “Millburn police officers responded to a residence on Cypress Street following a report of several males attempting to burglarize a BMW X3 parked in the driveway. Within minutes of the call, officers located five juvenile males walking in the area wearing masks. Following an investigation, officers determined that the juveniles were the same individuals involved in the attempted vehicle burglary. All five juveniles were taken into custody and charged with juvenile delinquency, attempted burglary of a motor vehicle, and conspiracy to commit burglary of a motor vehicle. Three of the juveniles were released to their parents or guardians, while the remaining two were lodged at the Essex County Juvenile Detention Center pending further proceedings.”

July 10 – “A Millburn police detective concluded an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred on June 6, 2026, at The Upton Short Hills. During the incident, the suspects forcibly entered the residence through a window. As a result of the investigation, the detective identified two suspects and obtained arrest warrants charging them in connection with the burglary.”
