Downtown Millburn, with the help of lots of volunteers, got gussied up for a big night out Thursday.

More than 600 women (and men) pre-registered for the Millburn’s first ever and a good number of those showed up, lured by contests, drawings, swag, wine and cheese, prosecco and fruit and other free snacks along the route.

The Downtown Millburn Development Alliance was pleased and surprised by the success of the evening. Before 6 p.m. all the $10 mystery bags were sold, with proceeds going to the Millburn-Short Hills Education Foundation and the Downtown Millburn Hurricane Irene Recovery Fund.
