It’s Déjà vu for Millburn Girls Lacrosse

A second overtime win in as many games.

The Millers were on the scoreboard first, this time on a goal by Meghan Lacy in under two minutes of play. At the end of the half, Millburn held an 8 to 5 lead.

Momentum shifted in the second-half, however, with Governor Livingston adding four goals in just over ten minutes to take the lead for the first time in the game. A back and forth battle ensued, and the teams headed into overtime tied, 10 – 10.

Governor Livingston had a go-ahead goal within the first minute of overtime play, but Millburn’s Lilly Orlan scored to tie the game again. Goals by Governor Livingston and Millburn’s Ashley Lynn followed. Megan Weissman’s penalty shot with under a minute to play sealed the win for Millburn, 13-12.
