It Was a Lie that NJ Transit Would Drop Ticket Price

Chris Christie caught in a whopper again.

Back in May, the Star Ledger reported that Chris Christie said that riders of the Morris & Essex Line would get "up to a 64% fare reduction" during the period of disruption of that line, when there will be no more Midtown Direct--scheduled for July 10 to September 1.

Monthly pass from Short Hills or Millburn for Midtown Direct: $254.

Monthly pass for same trip for July: $254.

See the reduction? WHAT'S WRONG? Didn't you realize that when Chris Christie says "up to 64% reduction", he is clearly leaving open the door for "0% reduction?"

What? He didn't lie! If you thought you were getting a reduction, that's on you. Thank you, Chris Christie.
